Jamar’s Bio

Dr. Jamar Montgomery is a multifaceted professional whose career spans engineering, defense, law, education, and blockchain technology. A natural innovator and thought leader, he began his remarkable journey at just 14 years old when he entered California State University, Los Angeles, completing his Mechanical Engineering degree by age 19.

As the youngest weapons systems engineer in the US Navy's history, Dr. Montgomery served as a technical liaison for allied navies on international missions from 2008 to 2013. His commitment to continued education led him to earn both a Juris Doctor and MBA from Southern University, followed by a certificate in Data Analysis and Machine Learning from MIT.

His diverse professional experience includes roles as a juvenile public defender, project manager for counterterrorism at Booz Allen Hamilton, and researcher at the New America think tank, where he contributed to Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act policy discussions. Dr. Montgomery has also served as an adjunct professor teaching American government and as a civil rights advocate with the NAACP.

An early adopter of blockchain technology since 2016, Dr. Montgomery now shares his expertise as Lead Instructor for The Black Crypto Club. His thought leadership has earned him speaking engagements at prestigious venues including the World Economic Forum in Davos, AfricaNXT in Lagos, and the All Black National Convention.

Throughout his career, Dr. Montgomery has advised an impressive range of leaders from international diplomats and congressional candidates to business innovators. His ability to simplify complex concepts has made him a valued consultant on issues ranging from protest management during social unrest to the implementation of emerging technologies.

Dr. Montgomery continues to blend his technical expertise, legal knowledge, and passion for education to drive positive change both locally and on the global stage.
